GrowthWheel and South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act

To make sure your data stays safe with us, we have updated our Privacy Policy to reflect the requirements of the South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).


Privacy Policy

This privacy policy forms part of the GrowthWheel licensing agreement, and terms of use of such licensing. You are required to read and indicate explicitly that you accept each page hereof as part of your licensing package by means of initialling each page and signing the last page.

Personal information is defined within the Protection of Personal Information Act of 2013, as information which relates to an identifiable, living natural personal and identifiable juristic persons, such as names, contact details, identification numbers and nationality, email addresses and gender etc where applicable of such persons.

Purpose and Workflow

The Privacy Policy of GrowthWheel SA will aim to ensure that the privacy and confidentiality of all licensed users, and information which is collected and stored as a result of such licensed members providing our entity with such information is well guarded from misuse, unauthorised alteration, and or unlawful processing and or disclosure.


The purpose of such information be collected is for the positive identification, quoting, billing and communication between our offices and your entity, in order to carry out the terms and conditions as agreed to between Growthwheel SA and licensed GrowthWheel SA users, as per section 11 of the Protection of Personal Information Act.

Upon registration and acceptance of the terms of use, all license holders as members who submit their personal information to GrowthWheel will voluntarily consent and explicitly agree to the collection of, use and disclosure of their information for the purposes of communication to such members by Growthwheel SA who will process and transfer information for the purposes of providing licensed users with access to the platform and related services, improving on services, billing for license use, communication on services and sessions available, in order to request and communicate feedback on services provided, and that such information will be shared with authorised personnel / service providers for purposes of management and administration of the online platform and electronic site.

Personal information will be retained for as long as required by our administration and compliance, enforcement of the agreement with a member, and as well as auditing purposes.

Should any license holder (data subject) , wish to withdraw the consent to process such information, he / she is required to bring this to the immediate attention of Growthwheel SA in writing.

All information provided to authorised personnel will be restricted by means of confidentiality undertakings and non-disclosure undertakings. The only time that your information will be disclosed without consent is when the company is required to do so in terms of a court order, in the interest of the public or in terms of a court order.

GrowhthWheel SA shall take all reasonable steps to protect the personal information of Users and for the purpose of this clause, “personal information” shall be defined as detailed in the Promotion of Access to Information Act 2 of 2000 (PAIA).

Licenses Policy

Growthwheel Online cloud platform allows licensed users to access training tools, collaborate with clients and track client progress dependant on the package selected by our licensed user. Our target clientele are business advisors, who make use of our toolkit and plans in assisting their clients such as business owners.

As such the data stored and created by each GrowthWheel Licensed user will remain accessible only to such user exclusively and in order to ensure utmost privacy the licensee must not share his / her unique license access with any third party. Should a license holder grant access to any of it’s clients or any third party including employees of such license holder, GrowthWheel SA does not accept liability for such unlicensed access and any misuse or breach of privacy as a result of the actions of the licensed user.

In the event that you as a licenser wishes to leave the platform, and be identified as per the provisions of the Protection of Personal Information Act, you have the right to do so, and must advise our offices as per the information provided on page 1 hereof.

Should the GrowthWheel platform, site and client information data storage facilities be breached, we understand that we have a duty to advise all licensed holders and undertake to do so.

Each licensed user / member of GrowthWheel who stores data of his / her clientele on the platform must advise their client of the same and obtain necessary consent to do so.

Each licensee holds GrowthWheel blameless and indemnifies GrowthWheel in the event that the Licensee fails to do so.

Allowed Usage and License:

These terms and conditions are binding and enforceable against all persons that access the GrowthWheel platform (web site) or any part thereof (“the platform”) in terms of section 11(3) of the E​​electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002 (“the ECT Act”).


If you do not agree to the terms and conditions contained herein you must leave the platform and site now, as further use will automatically bind you to these terms and conditions.

Disclosures required by section 43 of the act

Access to the services, content, software and content downloads available from the web site is classified as “electronic transactions” in terms of the ECT Act and therefore Users have the rights detailed in Chapter 7 of the ECT Act and Growthwheel has the duty to disclose the following information:

No information will be shared with third parties or unauthorised entities for use without the valid consent of any members.Whilst Growthwheel shall ensure that all information is stored on a secure database, we do not accept liability for the inherent risks associated with the provision of information through electronic applications and illegal interception thereof.


By Agreeing to the use of this policy you hereby agree to the acknowledgment of such risks and that you will not hold Growthwheel, its directors, employees or agents responsible in the event of such security breach.
